Description of πŸ›Ά Wilderness Systems Heavy Duty Kayak Cart with Inflatable Beach Wheels: 330 lb Weight Rating for Kayaks and Canoes - Model Number 8070167

Paddling magazine's 2018 winner in the "best transport/storage/launching' category. Engineered to transport the heaviest kayaks - up to 330 pounds. Easy to load and unload the kayak – no kickstands or scupper posts required. Bunker bar frame - adjustable width prevents the kayak from twisting and slipping sideways. Two height options - high for odd shaped hulls that would usually rub on cart wheels, low for a lower center of gravity to prevent tip overs. Frame constructed of marine-grade, high-strength, heat-treated aluminum alloy for superior strength. Two security straps included with cart. Large balloon style beach wheels never go flat and easily roll over sand. All-terrain, flat-free wheels (sold separately) will fit on same frame and increase carrying capacity of cart to 450 lbs. Frame storable within large kayak hatches (wheels can be removed and stored separately with bungee rigging).

Surprisingly good for a kayak cart

Fits Old City Bigwater Kayak PDL 132. People f*ck load that off. Mount it to fit underneath, place it in the middle of the kayak and watch it do its thing. I don't know what a lot of people say about tires. It's rubber and air. It will shrink and expand. You will get some air pressure and you will lose some air pressure. That's how tires work. Overall great product

Assembly questionable

No assembly instructions. The only problem I have are the clamps that hold the tires in place. The brackets don't hold very well. I use cable ties. It should have a cutting pin with an extra pin for the inside of the wheel. The bar opens to widen the axle, but there is no internal wheel stop to allow the wheel to remain open with the axle. I am using this for Hobie Pro Angler 17 and hope it works.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Reliability

Aha! This is a review!

STOP! This is the only review you need! These are the kayak wheels you need for the beach! Very easy to drag in the sand! We used it to take 4 kayaks to the beach! Yes 4! At the same time! Super easy to pull! I tried c-tug but I had problems so I tried this one and it's what people need! I'll be attaching a picture with 4 on it soon. Here is a picture with two on it and my 7 year old daughter can drag it across the sand. Works on compacted sand, sugar white sand, very easy! Buy it and you will…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Great cart but the wheels can't take air

Great for my professional 14ft fishing hobby. but my tires can't stand the pressure, I was very careful not to inflate it too much. Bought a pressure gauge that can read 3 psi. I fish at least every few days and every time I go they drop to at least 2psi and I have to use a hand pump before I can use them. If it could take the pressure it would be perfect *** Edit They replaced my beach bikes with a hard terrain model. I still don't run in sandy areas and am very happy with this model.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Not the best

tire pressure

product not as advertised, flat tires expected but there are tires that need air every time - tires don't hold air. assembling it didn't make sense at first, no instructions, when I first got it out, it tolerated hard ground well, but just sinks in the sand. The kayak is 117 pounds, it fell completely off that one strap dolly and damaged the new hull, it just didn't have enough width at the top. Weakling! Maybe built cheaply at Β£150 max and take more time tying it down with TWO straps or expect

Pros
  • great price
Cons
  • boring packaging

Well built - watersports

Overall it's well built and can handle the weight of my fully loaded kayak. I only gave 4 stars because the sand tires are not very round. As you push the kayak, you'll notice an egg-shaped bounce with each revolution of the tire. It's not bad, just annoying when you're already pulling a lot of weight. Though the mind seems to hold the air just fine. On the other hand, the body of the Topwaters Tunnel in Old Town is deeper than the poles on this wagon. The tires are so large that when the bar…

The beach bikes you've been looking for!

I've been looking for a solid pair of beach rollers for my kayak for a long time. I recently switched from a kayak to a solo skiff which is about 2.5 times the weight of my bare kayak. With the engine, gas tank, and some gear, my rig now weighs about 250 pounds. IT WAS a training session and a half to get everything on the water. With this set of beach bikes, I can now take one ride instead of several to get my stuff to the water. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the wheels and the
