easy installation on Sport

These hex locks are the easiest replacement for quick releases. Now, locking wheels to quick-buy bike racks is less important since most casual thieves don't have the hex tool to remove them. But we must always remember to have a hex tool in case of a flat tire.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • New competition is here

The ends can be removed by tightening tightly.

I have a titanium bike that requires a strong rear pivot attachment. It works great with the skewer we use on an old mountain bike or trainer. I thought these steel skewers could replace the heavier training skewers, but I just realized these are mild steel only. Too soft for my application.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Great price

Attaching skewers to sport

Both skewers fit well. Both are well dressed and seem to be holding the wheels well. Very easy to install. However, the back could be a bit longer. But my fallout is pretty thick, maybe that's why. Quality workmanship and confidence that my wheels are safer around town. would recommend.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Can't remember

Easy to use and another nuisance for thieves.

It was easy to install and works great. If you are in an area with high bike crime then this will at least be a bit of a deterrent compared to a quick release or regular nut. However, it must be connected to some kind of lock. This will help slow the theft, but won't completely prevent it.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Caution: Do not overtighten.

The product was fine. Looks elegant and neat. Gave 3 stars to be fair. The lock nut broke as soon as it was installed. The material wasn't hard enough to handle the torque I was trying to achieve. I would say you really do get what you pay for. It's fine from a budget perspective, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're going to use it for mountain biking. Get a Quality Brand!

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Negative gift

Just like today's disc brake skewers, unscrew

I really liked it. I ride a road bike with under 15lb rim brakes with clipless pedals, bottle cages and a bike computer installed. For me, weight matters. I tried them before I bought the titanium version here at Revain. They take a minute or two to get used to, but once you've fitted them, they tighten up fairly easily. I ride them on high-energy road bike group rides in Southern California and have no complaints. I carry a 4mm hex wrench in my pocket or saddlebag when I use it. As I said, inโ€ฆ
