Beautiful and functional.

None of the three pinion gears were to blame for the spring. The antenna was temporarily installed and the mounting threads were worn and the antenna mounting bolt was torn off. So I had to drill and cut the base of the antenna to install this spring. Gosh, that was a lot of work. But it worked and should last a very long time.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Operating speed

Good product! But there is something to consider.

I received this product well packaged. But I don't understand the pitted surface of the top of the antenna and the scratches. I doubt this will change the effectiveness of the product at all, but I think it's something to look out for when ordering products. Seems well made and I installed it on a Jeep JK front fender mount. Once I have my antenna installed I will post another review. So far I am very satisfied with this product

Like nuts on both ends!

Like nuts on both ends! You can hold each end to tighten or loosen (to remove). I put some lube on both ends (inside the threads) to prevent rusting (it's stainless steel so it shouldn't be, I'm just a bit anal). It's slightly (0.5 inch) longer without hitting the garage door. Yes, Firestik cannot go 3ft (too long) and 2ft is just a hair. It meets my specifications exactly. Sturdy enough to hold a 2 foot FireStik securely in place without wobbling or bumping into anything it's also not designed

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Expandable
