I bought 1 large wood and 1 medium wood and both had a big brown spot in the middle of the wood. I don't know if everyone is like that or just me. I wish I could return mine but thought I'd wash them off and opened the package! In addition, the wood is untreated, so when you move it, there are wood particles everywhere! Do yourself a favor and don't buy this! It was a disaster peeling those pieces of wood! waste of money!

This basswood is just what I needed for the centerpiece of our festive dining table. It is clean cut, rounded and has a decent thickness. I know it's wood but it's just the size I need. I have landscaper friends who laughed because they said they could cut me a piece for free lol. I'm totally happy with it and it's anything but tacky as far as bark stains go. The seller delivered it quickly and it was perfectly packed! Happy with this purchase.

Great product but shape and size are so inconsistent you never know what you're going to get. The first one I ordered was almost 2 inches thick and was almost completely round. The second one I ordered was about 1 inch thick and oval. Great quality just not sure what exact size/shape you will be getting. Also, since it is a hard wood, if you decide to use it for burning, it is quite difficult to get rid of the error. It is also difficult to use woodworking hand tools.
