Works perfectly! - Specialty Tools and Gadgets

I bought this last year thinking it would be a handy little candy making tool. When it arrived I was surprised at how thin it looked. It consists of two plastic parts that will fall apart if not handled properly. Last week I made mini thin crust cupcakes (they were mochi butter cakes). I knew I would make a mess if I tried pouring the batter into small baking pans, but I immediately remembered the funnel hidden in the back of the cupboard. OMG, that worked great! The concept is good, but the actual function isn't quite what it could be. To be fair, I have arthritis in my hands (so I first needed a better way to put the candy in the molds) and this is probably causing some problems. Nevertheless, the construction of this funnel consisting of two parts is unfavorable. When the chocolate starts to cool (which happens quickly with that thin plastic) or when serving thicker mixes, the "cork" really needs to be pressed and held to prevent leakage. It also…

I had to write a review after using it to make Christmas candy because it is a great product and there were negative reviews about it. I found it easy to use and did exactly what it was supposed to do. You stick a needle in the hole to prevent the chocolate from melting and lift the needle when you want it to flow. What could be easier? Sure, there's a learning curve to learning the device that releases the most chocolate when you slide it back into the hole to stop it, but after you've filled…
