Extremely strong, very well built but probably overkill

Probably the highest quality sledgehammer I've ever used. It's very well built. I could probably rock this thing on concrete all day for a year and it would end up looking brand new. The handle design is fantastic too, it cuts like a riving knife into one of the gnarliest big fir trees I've ever seen and I don't feel any reverberation. To be honest I was amazed. However, the thing is very heavy. I'm used to swinging 8-12 pound hammers and figured the 20 pound hammers wouldn't make much of a…

It's all about grip

I won't lie, I've only pumped 10 pounds before. that Β£20 are in a league of their own. Got through some metamorphic gneiss quickly and didn't feel anything in my broken wrist (high vibrations are killer the next day) which is the only reason I bought this. They don't lie, this pen is made of fairy dust, now it's a powerful fairy, but a fairy nonetheless. If you rock this all day or have a bad wrist, this is the rocking sled without a doubt. Even after smashing the rocks, I just couldn't stop…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

_REAL_ Sledgehammer!

UPDATE 7/21/20: I've had it for over a year now and still love it. I broke a lot of rocks with it and had no trouble getting my head loose. In fact, I don't see any real signs of head deformation either (the head on my 16lb hammer has visibly deformed over time). In my opinion it is worth the money. First review: I've used a 16lb sled to smash random rocks in our area for many years. I'm cleaning out a barn area this year and decided to do something bigger to (hopefully) take things apart a…
