Paring knife very bad design

The knife is very difficult to put back in the sheath properly. The large hole in the center of the blade doesn't leave much metal on either side of the hole which can cause the knife to bend or break. If it weren't for the bad case design and the hole in the blade, this might have been a good knife.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Discontinued model

The long search is over.

Centuries ago (I mean DECADES) my brother gave me and my sisters Remington Paring Knife and Holder/Sharpener. My sisters' knives are long gone, but I'm salvaging mine in hopes of finding a replacement. Wiltshire knives are significantly lighter (and I wish they weren't), but they do the job. Hope to buy the complete set.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • too boring

Fragile and dull compared to a 1990's Wiltshire Staysharp paring knife

I had a 20 year old Wiltshire Staysharp paring knife that I really liked so I bought this knife hoping it would be the same. However, the knife is nothing like the one I had before - it's incredibly thin and not sharp at all. Very disappointing that the quality has totally gone down since I had the first one.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Senior Citizen

Very poor design for kitchen and dining room

Knife very difficult to sheathe properly. The large hole in the center of the blade doesn't leave much metal on either side of the hole which can cause the knife to bend or break. If it weren't for the bad case design and the hole in the blade, this might have been a good knife.

Pros
  • Fits great for me
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
