Description of Wilwood 260 6765 Bore Master Cylinder

Quality high volume Wilwood 7/8" Brake Master Cylinder. High volume, die cast aluminum master cylinder holds 8.2 ounces of brake fluid. 26% more fluid capacity than other master cylinders. This helps to keep you brake fluid cooler. Includes formed steel lid, bellow type gaskets, internal slosh baffles, and standard mounting dimensions. 1/8" NPT single outlet. The bigger the master cylinder is, the more fluid you get but you'll have less pressure at the caliper. The 3/4" master cylinder is the recommended size for most throw-out bearings.

Terrible Brake Cylinder Ruins Automotive Performance

This brake cylinder failed miserably. Despite its claims of HIGH-QUALITY performance it's not worth the trouble. The installation process was painful and time-consuming .The only good aspect is that it looks moderately stylish, but thats it. The major problem overshadowing all of its features is that it couldn't stop my car during a high-speed test drive, putting my safety at risk. Avoid this brake cylinder..

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting
Cons
  • Requires professional installation for optimal performance

Wilwood Master Cylinder Review

I've been having trouble with the 3/4" master cylinders on my SUV for a while. I had to constantly bleed the brakes. There was no air in the system. So I assumed that was it Problem wasn't enough displacement, so I switched to a 7/8" bore. I installed this new master cylinder and didn't have to brake at all and it stops the car quickly. A big improvement over my previous master cylinders and I am very happy with the product.

Pros
  • Worth the Money
Cons
  • Is OK
