After several bouts of dizziness while cooking, I found that part of the plastic and/or Teflon handle on my old skillet had melted. Yes, the right thing. Due to the fact that it is curved at the bottom and not quite flat, there is not enough contact surface to activate the plate. Too bad, because the thing is charming and feels high quality. But the rounded bottom makes it useless on induction cooktops. UPDATE: I received a replacement; the same problem, the bottom is bent, the stove does not turn on. BAD DESIGN.
