Don't Worry: Graters

I hate this grater - drum is too small for romano cheese and very difficult to turn. Sorry I threw the box away - would like to return 2 I bought - I gave one to my daughter in law. My old Muli grater was the best and I'll try to find another on ebay.

Exactly what we were looking for

This grater is made entirely of stainless steel and not partially plastic which breaks easily. I can grate fresh parmesan cheese directly onto spaghetti :-) (among other things). So reasonably priced that I don't feel that not being a professional chef makes it a waste of my time!

Only for hard chess!

I bought a grater hoping it would be similar to those used in restaurants but it doesn't have the drum needed to grate soft and hard cheeses. The stitching is well done though, just something to be aware of. If you are looking for a grater for soft to hard cheeses, I recommend the Boska Holland Monaco Romano.

Definitely not a keeper

I was looking for a grater that would grind cheese rather than grate it as I'm Italian and would mainly use it for parmesan to top pasta. Well, this model appealed to me because it seemed to have the right chopping drum and because of its all metal construction (I also currently have a microplane which is plastic and pretty soon parts of it started falling apart). However, no luck here. 1) The holes in the drum are too small - think nutmeg grater - to work decently with anything but hard…
