Review on πŸ§€ Winco Cheese Grater with Fine Grating Drum for Effortless Shredding by Sejal Beasley

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Definitely not a keeper

I was looking for a grater that would grind cheese rather than grate it as I'm Italian and would mainly use it for parmesan to top pasta. Well, this model appealed to me because it seemed to have the right chopping drum and because of its all metal construction (I also currently have a microplane which is plastic and pretty soon parts of it started falling apart). However, no luck here. 1) The holes in the drum are too small - think nutmeg grater - to work decently with anything but hard cheese. It clogs and takes forever to reach the smallest output. 2) The rotation of the drum requires much more force than it should. 3) The feed opening is too small (although this is proportional to the low productivity of the product) 4) The handle is uncomfortable and doesn't hold the cheese in place very well 5) Despite being all metal, the construction feels flimsy .
