Winco SCAL-62 2lb/1kg Scale with 6.5-Inch Dial Review

USED 1 DAY AND THE WHOLE TOP WAS shaky. MATURED AND FOUND THAT THE PIN WAS OUT OF THE INSIDE. USED SECOND DAY AND FOUND ADJUSTING SCREW NOT WORKING. QUIT ORDERING OTHER BETTER SCALES. A PIECE OF CHARACTER, THAT'S HOW I FEEL!

I bought this on October 21st and it has a broken spring inside which is stretching the tine bar. WTH where can I get a scale that doesn't break? It has been carefully preserved, but it breaks anyway. it was accurate and easy to use.

Simply put, excellent affordable scale. Can be reset easily. My 3 units are almost constantly in use in my restaurant. Well made with a clear display. Comparable and cheaper than the MUCH more expensive Pelouze brand scales.

I am a restaurant owner. I'm writing a negative review because I didn't get a response either. We continuously measure a large number of dough balls. However, the tbis scale jumps sharply. I tried to tighten the scales by opening up the inside. FAILED. I don't think it's made for restaurant use unless I'm lucky. If the owner replies and helps me, I will see the tbis rating change.

Within a month or so of purchase I had to take it apart 3 times to put the inside back together. It currently seems broken forever due to the gear teeth constantly meshing and creating an incorrect weight. The inner pins have nothing to hold them in place, I had to glue them in place so they don't fall apart every time they're picked up. I have bought many scales and these are some of the worst designs I have come across. It's a shame to waste money to be honest.

Maybe there should be some kind of calibration, but there were no instructions, no tech support number, nothing. At first it was out of the box. The dial was past the 0 to the 32 ounce mark. I might be able to set the needle to 0 while at rest, but the screw is special and I couldn't find a way to do this without pliers (and I didn't want to damage this thing as I would probably return it). Most digital kitchen scales turn off at the worst possible moment! And they need batteries!
