Battery Cable Upgrade

I am further upgrading the battery cable to reduce losses in my RV's 12 volt system. I am planning to connect two of these converters to each pole of a 4000w pure sine wave inverter.

Pros
  • Excellent Design
Cons
  • Some Difficulties

Good quality suitable for inverter

Quality cable and spade lugs. It's a complete set so you don't have to buy the cleats separately, but it's a bit more expensive. But for multiple cables, it's quite handy. And that in good quality.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Socket required

Very well made cables and connectors.

I bought this to use with a 2500w inverter. The two sets of ring connectors were good because I could use the one that suits my needs. The wire itself is well insulated and very flexible. Flexibility makes work easier. There is no compromise on quality here!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Depends on what you are looking for.

Let's just say a cheap cable. If you're looking for something to just conduct electricity, this is fine. Aside from that, all of the copper strands in the insulation were oxidized, probably due to the paper they put between the insulation and the conductor to make them more flexible.

Pros
  • nice thing

Good quality cable at a good price

I needed 2 AWG for a battery relocation project on my SUV. The local supplier gets $5 per foot. It would cost me $150. I paid about a third for this kit and on top of that I got good quality terminals! The insulation is good quality and sturdy, good, like anything I've seen. Feel free to buy, don't worry, good product.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • old

good material for power converters

I'm tired of the $20 jumper cables from the big department stores. Last time he didn't even jump 15 feet onto a 650cc bike. So I decided to make my own with above average specs, which led me to choose this big fat cable. It looks good, is well built and the copper is thick! The only downside is that it's heavenly (which is a good sign), but I'm pretty sure it will start every car I have in my garage.

Pros
  • Cable lugs are made of pure copper with corrosion resistant tin plating. UL listed black heat shrink tubing for operating temperatures up to 105°C and 600V.
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

Amazingly high quality.

This purchase was a pleasant surprise. I had two spools of wire in my basket and found this set to be cheaper than just the wire. The tips are very thick, high quality and each have four studs in two sizes! It also includes a ground wire and heat shrink tubing. I bought this for my camping trailer that I use offline. The only thing I would warn anyone about is use for marine applications. The cable is copper but not tinned. Over time, non-marine grade cables fail. I can only recommend it for…

Pros
  • See Figure 2 in the photo gallery for a table to help you select the correct size and length of inverter cable for your inverter amperage.
Cons
  • Useless features

Not perfect, but quite ok! details inside.

Overall a good deal. Not perfect, but really good. The red wire was an inch longer than 10 feet. The black one was an inch shorter. The outer insulation is made of rubber and is very flexible. The cable cuts well with the Harbor F cable cutter. The terminals are fine. I like tinned copper. Has a greater flare than the trolley's bare copper grommets in the UL Stamp Weld Section. I put more wire in the pure copper sleeve because of the shape. The hole size is the same (exactly for what it is)…

Pros
  • Extra battery spade lugs are included to allow you to attach appropriately sized bolts to the battery and inverter mounting posts. 4 things. 5/16" spade lugs and 4pcs 3/8" spade lugs allow all possible combinations (almost all inverters and batteries use 5/16" and/or 3/8" mounting terminals). Simply attach an appropriately sized spade bolt to the cable that matches the inverter and battery terminals.
Cons
  • Difficult to say
