Used for Pitbike 125 with headlight

Used this on my Lifan engined 125 Ssr, bought this as well as LED lights and a switch to turn the light on and off. That works great!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • -

Cheap and works! good for parts

The open circuit voltage is a bit low, 7-8 volts, so it's best to use it with a battery/capacitor. But when the bike is idling or running I can get 14V, enough to run my headlights without a battery.

Pros
  • Easy to read panel
Cons
  • Repair

Fits Predator GX 670

Fits Predator GX 670 engine. I took a chance because I needed it in a desperate situation and it turned out to be a perfect match for this engine. The four-pin connector is the same as on the engine.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Not bad

The worst thing is, it's only half a wave.

Schematic not available but can be found online and here by others. The worst thing is that it's only a half-wave rectifier and doesn't output 12 volts. I only got about 6. Probably a regular product for the right app, but lacking documentation at best showing what the app might be.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Only available in white

Ehh does the job for a few bucks

does a good job of converting AC to DC, only problem is it's half wave. Even with a full bridge rectifier feeding it from the front, it still outputs 8V at idle and 5V DC at high speeds. it's the weirdest thing, you'd think it's the complete opposite, but NO. So I'll try to use a capacitor, but all it will do is reduce flicker at high RPM.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • No power

Working LED lights on a Coleman BT200x minibike

I assembled a homemade rectifier-regulator from pre-built circuits, but it was quite fragile. The Coleman BT200x minibike I use it on outputs 8-13VAC when running and this thing says its input voltage is 20-30VAC but even with the input low it outputs 13-14VDC. It's not "clean", my LEDs flicker a bit, but it's enough when the engine is revved up to power two 18-watt LED headlights. Will update the review when it dies but so far so good.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Lots of everything

Edit: STILL works as advertised on my Honda XR650R motorcycle

I installed this awesome rectifier regulator on February 15th, 2019. I have a Honda XR650R with a Baja Designs dual sport kit. The original Baja design with the signature 10 year old regulator is dead. Their website has the same one that came installed on my bike for about $60 so I decided to give this one a try. What could be worse? After installing this bike, you can turn all headlights back on and recharge the small 12 volt sealed lead-acid battery used to turn the headlights on when the…
