I installed this awesome rectifier regulator on February 15th, 2019. I have a Honda XR650R with a Baja Designs dual sport kit. The original Baja design with the signature 10 year old regulator is dead. Their website has the same one that came installed on my bike for about $60 so I decided to give this one a try. What could be worse? After installing this bike, you can turn all headlights back on and recharge the small 12 volt sealed lead-acid battery used to turn the headlights on when the engine is off. With no electrical load, this direct flux regulator stabilizes at 14.6 VDC at medium/high speeds. At idle it outputs about 13.2 VDC, which varies slightly with idle speed. When all indicators are lit, the voltage stays between 12.7 and 13 VDC. Only used for a few days but seems to be holding up well. I will edit this review if/when it stops working so everyone knows how long it will take. Edit: August 10, 2020 I installed 3 LED strips on my bike last year. With the headlight on high beam and all the LEDs on, the lights flicker a bit at low rpm, but as soon as I step on the gas they all become permanently bright (maybe I overdid it with too many lights!). I use my bike for commuting almost every day and it's still holding up great! I went ahead and bought another one to put in my bike parts bag. Since I already connected the plastic wiring harness to the bike, this should be an easy plug and play repair/replacement that I can do on the trail if the first reg/rect I bought fails on a weekend hike . So far I'm very happy with this inexpensive replacement.
