I did as instructed and pulled out the tray after 24 hours to see if that was enough time and then increased the time from now on. After 24 hours there was little time. Really cool block of ice but doesn't last very long for the price. The block cracked on the ground and spilled water before freezing. Save yourself the hassle and buy another cheaper brand as they don't even over price stand behind their product.
