Bought this for my wife who cannot get up if she falls. The ALARM CLOCK is loud enough to be heard in all 3 bedrooms behind the closed doors of the downstairs house. I haven't had this device long enough to estimate the battery life, it's been about 4 weeks now and it's still working. The device runs 24/7. I have not tested the device to see if it works at 500ft+. It's still a GOOD BUY!
