I've been on Wacom tablets for years, I'm always looking for alternatives because while Wacom is the industry standard it isn't without flaws. My last two Wacom models had annoying issues so I'm always open to try new products. I've been on this one since April and it's performed really well, only issues I've had is if I use the wireless mode sometimes it becomes non responsive and I have to re-seat the wireless receiver to continue working. In all fairness my Wacom did this too so anymore I…

Pros
  • The HUION WH1409 is incredibly versatile, making it an ideal tool for a wide range of art forms, including illustration, graphic design, and animation
Cons
  • The pen may have a limited battery life

I seldom write reviews but this time I really thought it might help others out there who had the same issues I had when choosing a new tablet. For more years than I can count (ugh.so.,old.so.very old) I have been solidly in the Wacom camp when it came to graphic drawing tablets. I have spent LOADS of money to make sure I had the best tablet my money could buy but recently Wacom seems to have lost their freakin minds. They went the route of the "One driver to rule them all!" philosophy…

Pros
  • 2.4 GHz Wireless Communication: Ensure you to have a flexible drawing experience and free you from the space limitation; The maximum sensing distance can range up to 10m
Cons
  • The pressure sensitivity may not be consistent

Fantastic tablet good for me

After careful research on what tablet I wanted to replace my old wacom babmoo fun, I decided on the Huion Giano. It's large drawing area, the levels of pressure sensitivity, and it's low price point compared to the intuos line all contributed to my choice. I am very pleased with the product overall. Let's give it a quick breakdown:Appearance/Feel: The tablet is nice looking in person, there is a general matte finish on it (though much less pronounced on the drawing surface) so that it doesn't…

Pros
  • The tablet's ergonomic and slim design ensures that artists can work comfortably and effortlessly for extended periods, reducing fatigue and strain on their hands and wrists
Cons
  • The tablet may be prone to connectivity issues

When going through the support with Huion on why my device wasn't being detected by my computer we found two problems. A driver mismatch (whoops) and that my usb cable does not work to let my pc detect my device. Upon asking for a replacement I was informed I would have to make a video proving the cable did not work despite the customer service man walking through the process with me and coming to the conclusion himself that it was indeed a problem with the cable. Afterwords he more or less…

Pros
  • Graphics Tablets
Cons
  • The tablet may be difficult to set up and configure

A great (but not perfect) alternative to Wacom Intuos 3!

Just received my Gigantor yesterday (yes, I realize that's not the model name but that's what I am going to call it). I installed drivers from the website, as that's usually the most current version with any given product. I would recommend letting the tablet and pen charge for a few hours before attempting to use them. I can't be certain, but I think the jumpy/laggy stylus response I initially experienced was due to a low pen charge. After charging, the lag went away. After plugging in and…

Pros
  • The HUION WH1409's battery life is impressive, with up to 40 hours of continuous use on a single charge, making it an ideal tool for artists who need to create for long stretches of time
Cons
  • The tablet may not work well with certain software programs

One year later. best in my review

. and it still works great! I had some minor problems with getting pen pressure to work while the tablet was plugged in when I first got it, but those were easily resolved by changing settings in art programs or restarting the tablet software. The screen size is a little too big for my taste, so I adjust it in settings to have a bit of a buffer around the edges. I was afraid the need to recharge the tablet pen would be annoying, but I draw pretty frequently and the pen only needs to be…

Was sent a defective pen

It seems the pen is a common issue with most, mine was possibly damaged in shipment by amazon, after being left out for deliver over night. the pressure works great but has this quirk with the coil or sensor where it will continue to draw while hovering post contact. Ive tried cleaning the pen with air duster for any dust on the sensor and installing new drivers, I even removed all other wireless devices from the room and the issue still persisted. I'll update my review after I hear back from…

Pros
  • OS Compatibility: Windows 7 or later, macOS 10.12 or later; 1 year warranty
Cons
  • There may be a delay or lag when using the tablet

First and only Tablet

Man, I spent so long searching and researching drawing tablets, and so many were out of my price range. This thing was a total lifechanger for my artistry and creative endeavors. I've used this with Photoshop, Sketchbook, Blender, Unreal Engine, and other programs. It definitely takes some getting used to, looking at the screen, while drawing in the pad is a bit disorienting at first, but after a week or so I was able to forget about the interface and just flow. I am left handed and this has…

Pros
  • The HUION WH1409 has an impressive working area of 13.8 x 8.6 inches, providing artists with ample space to create their masterpieces
Cons
  • The pen may not be responsive enough for precision work
