Tries to hard boil eggs. I followed the instructions exactly. By gently shaking and opening, all the eggs were cracked open and all the hard yolks mixed with the whites! I think it would work if the eggs were a specific shell hardness, were a specific size, and used a microwave oven with the exact power. Who has time to experiment with dozens of eggs trying to get it right? This is where I learned my lesson. Nothing compares to the old-fashioned method of boiling eggs!

I love that the pod works great. Eliminates water pollution when shaking the capsule to remove the shell. For the room temperature egg pot method, I first bring the water in the pot to a boil, then add the eggs and let it simmer for 12 minutes. Then pour off hot water, add cold water, add lid, then shake (water still splashes on pan with lid - messy). But now with a pod it's much easier.
