Type of review

So what is this thing? Basically, you're looking for a network connection device for audio streaming that also has a built-in DAC and can be used as a WiFi hotspot. So a wireless DAC working over WiFi.plus has digital outputs (COAX and optical) but can also create a wireless hotspot. The? For real? YUP! Big update but not upgrade from TB20 (double checked)

At first I rated this production 4 stars, but after a year. I have to downgrade it to 2 stars. I have the Tunebox TB20 which is the best deal for streaming music to your traditional stereo and amplified speakers. TB20 and TB21 are discontinued and replaced by Tunebox3. The new model is completely revised and differs from the old model inside and out, as well as being twice the price. Update number 2, I'm updating this review as I just got my TB3s and they perform significantly better than the TB2s in terms of stability. Updating my rating to a 5 as I really like the sound of the TB3 and use the Roon software which makes it the perfect Sonos killer. TB3 does a great job streaming over WiFi and allowing you to control the volume of your devices from your mobile phone, tablet or computer.
