Really helpful ie. Almost essential for ESP development

Great product. It worked great and was clearly designed and made. I've used it for programming and developing with the ESP12F and it makes life with the Arduino IDE over USB much easier.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Fair

Great little device at hand!

To be honest I hardly knew what I was looking at when I got this. But I did some research and made sure I have the right parts to start building with ESPS. The Arduino concert is here. Slow in game and dumb. This torch works great as a prototype board before soldering connections. Probably my favorite little jerk of late

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Something different

Awesome ESP8266 programmer

I'm having trouble with programming layouts for my ESP01s modules. Never. After downloading the USB driver from Silicon Labs, I plugged the module into the slot on this board and programmed the module with no problems! Wow! The board has headers for other ESP modules, and I've ordered a couple of ESP12f mods. I am absolutely sure that there will be no problems with them.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

A must for ESP12 programming

I used to program my ESP12 modules using a breadboard and it was an absolute mess and an absolute pain. This board is great - the ESP12F plugs right into the adjustable part and pops out just as easily. It's plug and play - just select the specifications of the module you are using (ESP8266 universal module) and boot by holding the flash button. .If you are using ESP12F/E in your projects or just want to use ESP12 instead of implementing whole NodeMCU/other boards in your projects but worried…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Ideal for programming small chips ESP8266

I know this is a very special device but if you bother going to the reviews you're wondering what it can do. This is what you need for programming smaller chips. The ones that are just the ESP8266 and nothing else that you will add to a larger project. For example, if you're putting it in an IoT device to replace another chip, or a PCB assembly that doesn't have a USB connector, and you don't include serial pins. Make sure the USB cable is not connected. Don't plug it in or turn it on before…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Functionality

Now with this breakout board I can buy any number of different variations of small SMD ESP modules costing around $2 each, plug them into this breakout board here for easy programming and access on GPIOs etc, and once it's done, I can pull them out again to use in whatever project they're used for - tiny, fast, simple and EASY! I didn't realize how useful it would be to have a dedicated programming board. ESP* modules. Until recently I did what most of you probably do - buy a pre-soldered…

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Minority
