WIX Filters Automatic Transmission Filter Replacement Parts ~ Filters Review

Perfect replacement for my 2000 F250, actually it was the brand and filter recommended by BTS Brian who is the absolute undisputed master of Ford transmission rebuilds is. I didn't use a pad as the original is reusable.

Perfect for my F2002 F250 7.3 Powerstroke. Do not buy these filters depending on whether it is 4WD or 2WD. You should look at the oil drain pan and see if it has a 4" sump, if so buy a LONG NECK filter if a 2" sump buy a short neck filter.

I ordered this along with another filter that was slightly different to match one of the products. This is a filter with a longer drain connection. Used on the transmission sump in the Ford E40D 4x4. A good product. Supplied with rubber seal. Cork and rubber gaskets in this case are not interchangeable.

Fits my 1994 F250 4X4 with E40D. The filter looks the same as the OEM. The filter has a longer return sensor for 4WD E40D (deeper than 2wd). The pad looks nice and thick. This fixed my leak. First of all, this is not a WIX filter. There is a WIX sticker on the outside of the packaging. If you look at the bottom of the filter you will see a clear "Filtran" Made in China stamp. FILTRANLLC.COM is their website. Maybe WIX will pass this filter on to Filtran. So if you think you're getting a USA-made WIX filter in Gastonia, NC, think again. That was my buying experience at Revain. Yours may vary.

Costly mistake using this WIX pad. Shortly after topping up the transmission, all of the new fluid slowly poured down my driveway. I went to a Ford dealership and bought the correct gasket. I compared them, Ford has two built in wires and metal rings around each bolt hole to prevent pinching and warping. WIX is just a 1/8" flat piece of rubber. I mentioned this to WIX Corporation and they just dismissed it as my fault. WIX's quality assurance seems to be nonexistent. NEVER AGAIN with WIX…
