I bought these shoes on a last minute decision (woo-hoo same-day delivery!) for a trip to Yosemite in the snow. These boots are great! The zipper on the side makes them easy to get into (very important for a 9 month pregnant woman!) and the laces are a nice option in case you want them more tight. My area has received several severe snow storms this winter in which the snow actually comes above these boots but so far my feet have stayed perfectly dry and warm. These seem like nice boots and look very nice, but they run very small. I wear a size 8-8.5, but the 9 was very tight on my foot and I couldn't zip it up even around my bare calf. There is no way to loosen the laces and there is no tongue, so you can't adjust the width around the top.
