Does not hold up to 125ft as advertised.

Product description and packaging states it will hold 125 feet of 14/3 extension cord. Pictured is a 14/3 reel with 100 feet of line. It took three attempts to coil the cable so tight that the 100-foot cable barely fit. The way most people coil an extension cord works well for 50' 14/3 cord, maybe 75'. 125 feet? No way! I bought a better spool for my 100ft line. This one fits my 50 foot 14/3 cable. Another note: this is not relevant for contractors. This should last a while for home use, but I…

Works great with CAT-5 cable

I need to run a CAT5 cable from our living room to my office for Zoom calls. (Yes, I understand there are more elegant solutions, but this was a quick fix.) We soon got tangled and it was driving me nuts. I bought it to drive everything in and it worked great. The key (as with all line spool holders) is to hook the CENTER of the line in the center of the spool, then coil both ends of the line together. To find the center and straighten the cord, I wrapped it around the back of the chair. I can…

Less than stated. Disappointing.

Bought this reel for a 100ft 14/3 extension. The cover clearly states that it can accommodate up to 125 feet of 14/3 cable. It's crowded with the 100 feet I put on it and won't stand on the flat edge as intended. It performs about the same as the Bayco KW-110 Line Manager I've used this line on before. I was expecting the Woods E-102 to be slightly larger as the Bayco reel says it only holds 75 feet of 14/3 line. The plastic is flimsy and Heavy Duty feels like an overstatement, as does the…

Practical, not too heavy.

Works as described. I only have a 12/3, 100 and 50 foot outer extension. I recently purchased another 100ft outdoor extension cord and ordered this cord reel. When I received the spool I knew it wouldn't hold a new extension cord. The reel can reasonably accommodate a 50ft outside extension that I have laying around in the garage for garden use. It is not intended for industrial use. I have several of these plastic spools. They hold (for me) because I treat them like babies. But as soon as they

  • Crumpled Packaging

100ft is a bit narrow but doable.

Bought a pair of these to solve my lengthening problem. I use very long cords for garden maintenance, such as B. an electric leaf blower and an electric weed cutter. Cord always has trouble twisting and unwinding when trying to twist into knots. I have a 100ft cable that says it fits, but is too tight to wrap around the wheel. It does, but only. The second cable is slightly shorter and much easier to manage. Reading it for use is a little difficult. In my charcoal solution, I could just turn it

  • Great design

DURABLE, ALSO WORKS WELL FOR CABLE 10 CAMERA + GENERATOR!

I have lots of these from Woods and other brands (Bayco etc) both with and without stands. I've had a Bayco for years and they still hold up great, but I like the grip on the Woods for easier winding. It moves well on its own, but I also squirt everything with silicone lube when I can (small suggestion). BEST OF ALL, I wanted to show here that they work very well for 10AWG extension cords (both 3 and 4 wire). and generator cable. The photos show 3 coils (without stand). On the right is 25 feet…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some bugs

Excellent, practical, easy to use, economical!

I purchased this reel on a calculated play not really knowing the accuracy of the widely varying gap widths and depths offered by previous buyers. I thought that with such a cheap price you can take a little risk. As it turns out the spool is absolutely perfect for my application as it carefully coils and stores 1/8" x 500 ft of 750 lb test gauge blue paracord that I use to fly a 30 sq ft parafoil kite. This spool is original Designed for extensions and not paracord, it took me about 30 minutes

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • ill thought out
