Well made antenna mount

Likes: Very well made and strong Used to attach a 17ft folding pole to a 1 1/2" OD mast Dislikes: Had to use longer 3/8" screws for a Buy mast of this size like me. use - but then I expected that this would probably be the case since it is manufactured as a mirror mount

Strong and perfect fit!

Great solid piece with all the parts needed for installation. I flipped it over and attached it to a tool box in the back of a truck. I drilled holes and this part holds my 5ft Firestik II perfectly. A month or two after installation showed no problems or signs of rust (and it was a bit damp). Gives a good ground for my antenna!

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Hard to say

Missing parts for CB and talkback radios

Received today. The plastic bag did not contain the white plastic insulator or the top of the SO-239 connector. The zip pocket used for this item does not stay closed and small items fall out easily. Revain offers to replace the product or return the money. However, until they take action to seal the bags with tape or a stapler, it doesn't seem worth replacing. Recycling/using the mount on this $8.50 item might be a better option than the hassle of returning it.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Upgradeable

It mounts to a horizontal or vertical pole

Received this mount today - it's solid and should work well under a 4 1/2 foot fiber optic Firestick antenna and a heavy spring. Note that the hole pattern in the bracket and base allows the base to be attached with the groove running horizontally or vertically, allowing this bracket to be used on most standard RV ladders, except perhaps Lance RVs with larger diameter ladders. All parts were packed in a sealed package. I'm deducting a star for using chrome steel nuts and bolts instead of…

The SO-239 bolt adapter is of good quality, but I reamed the hole a bit.

This thing has battleship quality. Rustproof fittings on aluminium. Very, very thick aluminum. If you're worried about durability, don't worry. The SO-239 bolt adapter is good quality but I reamed the hole a bit and installed an MFJ-341S to use with my Yaesu ATAS-100 which fits nicely over it. Even with this load, don't worry about flexing. He can support Tarheel, no question.

This product ruined my coaxial cable

On my set, the SO-239 socket for the pin on the PL-259 connector on my coax cable was stuck. I could barely connect my coaxial cable. And when I tried to disconnect my coax cable, the pin on the PL-259 connector was pinched so badly that this product pulled the pin out of the PL-259 connector and ruined my coax cable. I compared the fit to other PL-259 connectors and it was also too tight. I even compared the fit to an uninstalled DX Engineering PL-259 crimp connector (so there was no contact…
