Covers the rear air duct as it should but the powder coating is not very thick and has already started to blow. I don't live in a salty area, so there's no real justification for that.

I gave 5 stars for the quality. This is a strong panel and in the event of nuclear war I am almost certain that this panel will survive the blast. However, when I bought it, I didn't take into account that the air conditioner draws in fresh air from the hole that it closes. So you really need a ventilated panel and not a fixed one, or you just have to leave the air conditioner on recirculation mode all the time.

Perfect fit. I used 1/8" shims from my local hardware store to allow air to circulate since I have a hard top and this jeep plate could not breathe with the doors closed (e.g. the air was trying to get through the taillights to escape). To keep rain off the top of the panel I took a thin fuel line, routed it along the top of the panel and clamped it between the panel and tailgate to direct the water around the hole in the tailgate.

There's a reason your Jeep has a vent in the tailgate. Other than that, this record covers it perfectly. Now my advice is save your money. Get a two-piece design from another company that retains the case vent functionality. Also, this plate is steel and coated with what appears to be very thin cheap paint.
