Great imitation, best in torque wrenches

Looks like good quality but is 4 times cheaper than Fernco and less than half the price of the Rigid brand. I don't know how accurate the torque is, but it seems "right" to me.

Pros
  • nice stuff
Cons
  • dull packaging

Mandatory for inspected work

If you're using water pipe clamps here, the inspector wants to make sure you've tightened them properly. Better CYA than failing an inspection. Also prevents you from over tightening and breaking the seal.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Some minor things

The best tool! Hand tools

The best tool for clamps. I use this paddle tool (pins and collars) to tighten the collars. I haven't had a paddle change since and been in huge water, class IV rapids and I've had some pretty hard hits on rocks and nothing has moved.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Available in white only

Inacurate - Power & Hand Tools

Don't waste your money on this. It's not exactly up to 60 inch-lbs. Seems random. Sometimes more. Sometimes under. I had to remove and replace the Fernco hitch due to its use and buy a new one. For clutch replacement torque, I bought an old-school torque wrench (about $23) that you can read with your own eyes. It's getting more accurate. It can also be used for many other low torque jobs, not inaccurate single torque T-wrenches.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

A good budget option for non-professionals.

I'll deduct a star or two if this little man fails, but so far I've tightened a few dozen clamps for Fernco's hubless clutches and it's all worked great. Comparing it to my inspector's fancy model, I see that my (this) cheaper design won't last as long as his. But am I glad I didn't spend three or four times as much building supply chains to tighten a few clutches? Yes. Does this one seem as accurate as the better ones? Yes.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket

Pool Hose Clamp Wrench Secret

I stumbled upon this tool a few years ago and was looking for another for my son. If you've ever tried tightening clamps, you know that clamps can break if you overtighten. If you don't tighten them enough, your hoses can slip under pressure, e.g. B. Pool hoses from the pool to the pump and back. The wrench is made specifically for this type of clamp and is not over-tightened or over-tightened. To me, this is the industry's best kept secret. Neither Lowes, nor Home Depot, nor Harbor Freight…

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
