No "bad" or defective product. However, it is not a food product. The hinge on the lid is not airtight at all. I returned the product because I need something to store loose groceries so they don't go bad.

The lid does NOT even close! Cheap plastic! I have to store puppy food in another room and add other things to keep the puppy out! Even had to buy a gate because she knows how easy it is to get there and won't leave her alone! Worst Purchase! Really don't recommend them to anyone unless you want easy access!

I was so excited when we ordered these containers and very disappointed when we actually received them. They're flimsy (I don't even know how to fold and support them when full), the doors don't hook or latch at all (don't even think about storing pet food in them), and they're MUCH smaller than I thought, especially at this price. I appreciate the quick and easy return and refund!

Great containers for bulk food or pet food. Keeps everything clean and tidy. No half-finished sacks of rice or flour or whatever you use to sit on, which I love. My cat can open dry food bags (just chew a hole in them). But she can't fit into them to help herself, which is a plus since she makes a huge mess. The white color is translucent, so I can see the contents and quantity in the shopping cart, which is very convenient.

These baskets are handy but can easily tip over if the top basket is heavier than the two below. Not as strong as I would like. Most important note: The hinged lids do NOT snap into place. Ants came to them in my kitchen when we had a bad couple of rainy days and I had to throw away £30+ dog food. Whether you want to save it for crafts, light tools, or fabric, they'll suit you well. Otherwise, do not store dog food, cereal, or other perishable foods. You will be VERY sorry!

The bin lids don't even snap open let alone seal as one would expect to store any type of food. Decent quality containers but should not be recommended for storing perishable food. However, I use mine to store the dry rice and noodles we use to make pet food (a few random bugs won't hurt) and it's working well so far. FYI: Several people have asked how much they keep. If you are looking for a cheap stackable container then this product is for you. However, I recommend storing staples that weigh less than 40 pounds in a basket (about 18 kg). Containers begin to collapse when stacking 40 pounds or more. There are no latches to secure the lid. So if you are looking for a lockable lid, this product is not for you. The containers were exactly the size I expected and I use one for rice and the other for a large one Bag of dog food. I knew from other reviews that the lids aren't airtight, but these are the loosest lids you'll find in any plastic container. If you tilt it to the side, the lid falls off.
