X-Acto Cutting Mat

I use this self-healing mat to cut plain paper and heavy cardstock with the X-Acto blade and so far it's working great. I use it for cutting straight edges as well as shapes. After about a week of use, cuts I made that went beyond the edge of the paper are no longer visible, although they are mostly small marks. I would have liked this mat better if the size numbers on the edges were on the outside of the cutting area rather than the inside as I like to refer to that while my paper is in place.

Ideal for crafters

If you use X-ACTO knives a lot like me then this is the board for you. I often make things out of foam and have the X-ACTO foam cutter to match, but using cardboard on a hard table was annoying. It would get stuck in there, slowing me down and probably dulling the razor too. I have this because it is made by the same brand but mainly so I can cut knowing the knife is on a surface designed not to dull and cut it. All I can say is that it does what it is advertised to do. . Cuts will go away on…

Fantastic Cutting Mat

First, I'm one of those people who does the most shopping. I try to compare features that aren't usually mentioned on product pages. For example, when I bought an 18" x 24" cutting mat, I compared the obvious (color, average customer ratings, price, etc.) with the not-so-obvious like layers and thickness. First, in addition to the larger size, I decided that I needed a cutting mat with good contrast between the guides and the mat itself. Until I got this rug, I was using the smaller Fiskars rug
