This truck bed extender fit 2003 up to present Dodge Ram 1500 2500 3500 (Exclude Rambox). It is very light (net weight 13.8 pounds), once assembled, it is very strong, easy to remove (pull out two pins). The tailgate extenders for trucks can be flipped in and out, used to increase the use space and storing small items. The body of this bed extender for trucks is assembled by black powder-coated 6063-T6 aluminum alloy tube and weather-resistant PA6 nylon column. A total of 4 or 6 holes need to be drilled on both sides of the Dodge Ram truck bed, detailed installation instructions are provided, and a 2-year. Fit type: Universal. Part number: RAM-da.

Boot and boot accessories

I assembled the extension following the instructions and using the template figured out how to drill holes for the brackets but the screws provided do not work with mounting the hole.

Contacts required, unlike my old Amp Research. Useful for pins but can be annoying.

Plus and minus pins. When used with my quad this is a plus as it is much easier to fit the extension to the truck when the quad is in the bed. That was almost impossible with my old Amp Research. But the pins can sometimes get in the way when installing and removing the rack. Just a few extra steps.

Great extension for 2022 Ram Laramie GT bed

When the extension arrived it was packed very well in a sturdy box. It was in several parts but came with simple instructions and templates for mounting brackets. Assembly was very easy and installation was quick. It took about 35 minutes with just a screw drill and a mounting bracket. Oh yeah, scissors to cut out the pattern. It looks great and is definitely better than paying $350 for a Ram OE.

You get what you pay for.

Good: I was able to use the existing grooves on the sides of the bed for the bindings. Ram 2500. Bad: not the best quality and very little plastic. The extension doesn't snap to the bed so it's quite difficult to remove. You'll have to remove the pin and then remove the rubber stopper from the mount and if you lose it you'll have to look for another one. My other bed extender fell apart in case I wanted to tuck it away in bed prematurely. This is not. However, I didn't like the idea of drilling
