Cheap materials suitable for plugs, inlets and sockets

Attention, this is cheap garbage made in China. Poor quality materials, both plastic and metal connectors. I bought two with the intention of adding one before my 5th wheel but never made it so I had an extra one. Well we recently stayed in our RV for 5 weeks while moving out of state. At one point for 3 weeks when I wanted to unplug it, it melted and it took me a lot of effort to unplug it. I didn't redraw the trailer either, I worked. Ok but nothing that shouldn't be able to handle the normal

Pros
  • Few competitors

Seems ok now. fits plugs, sockets and sockets

In this old camper van the power cord was coiled up in a square tube and was difficult to plug back in and had to be unwound to lay flat when removed for use. It was shorter than traditional cables and sometimes had to be lengthened to support power lines. As seen in the photos I removed the box, inserted a plastic panel with the 30 amp socket above and connected the now free end of the cable. The door stayed on and closes and locks even after a new installation at the request of the new…

Not the best choice for plugs, sockets and sockets

The socket is not watertight on the back and the cover cannot be screwed onto the back of the socket. Maybe it was made to be indoors? After trying the bushing several times, I noticed it was loose and couldn't tighten the bolts. The photo shows that 2 of the 3 screw racks are cracked. The weather-coated outlet side was mostly fine, but it was very difficult to get the yellow cover around the outlet. Now I have to buy the side of the socket without removing the side to send it back / spend more

Pros
  • Current: 30 amp
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

It worked great as an upgrade for my existing power line

It worked great as an upgrade for my existing power line. I removed the old cord, reconnected the internal wiring to the new outlet, and installed a new plug at the end of the removed cord. Any instructions or helpful tips on how to attach the yellow protective cover would be GOOD. I cut off the end where it lay next to the cable, it was very difficult for me to get the cable into the yellow cover (and keep a tight fit). Connecting the connector was easy, but fitting the yellow cap onto the…

Very well designed.

I have seen some conflicting reviews on this product. I bought it because we are in the process of restoring a 1977 Minnie Winnie Class C motorhome. It was installed with a shore power cable in the compartment and permanently attached. To use it, you had to take it out of the compartment and then put it away in reverse order. It was a tiny branch and a bit of pain. I've noticed that new top coaches don't do it that way. They had an external outlet and the power cord from the shore was…
