It's easy to assemble but when I pulled it up to open it and stand up my finger got stuck between the wires on the gate. I dropped it with my finger stuck there and it crushed my finger and I couldn't get it out! I had to call for help and my family ran to help me. My finger wasn't straight in the wire, my finger looked unnaturally bent. He almost broke it. I haven't hurt myself like this in years.

I have a large drawer for my Havana in my small living room. I felt a little sorry for her, got it a little bit more than I needed. I also bought a drawer mat to keep her comfortable. All of this, and yet she ignored it all. So it's just an eyesore. Then I bought this box cover. It fits perfectly and is not ugly. Valves fit easily. And my dog started going in the crate and sitting by himself from time to time! This is the winner!

I do not consider this an acceptable cage cover when the dog is in the cage because it has a plastic liner and DOES NOT BREATH. I am returning it for this reason. It feels durable and is probably easy to clean, but this type of cover should only be used for storage. It doesn't even make sense to me since the drawers can be folded for storage. So if you crate your pet like me, I would not recommend this item. If you use it for something else, it can meet your needs.

Firstly it has a PVC/plastic inner liner. While you might think that would be great, it isn't. Not breathing. My puppy sleeps in his cage at night and the first morning I checked on him there was literally condensation inside. And it was HOT. Just by the warmth of his body. It's also incredibly easy to destroy, as he showed me in his second week of owning it when he ripped the front door out from the inside. This drawer cover was just what we needed but it is too big for our 27" drawer. I thought the lid would fit 24, 30, 36, 42, 48 inch wire drawers. I mistakenly thought there was a way to make the lid fit a 27" drawer better - there isn't one. The lid is very good, the only problem is the size. If a buyer is looking for a 36, 42 drawer wire box lid then this lid should be great. Based on how it fits in my 27" drawer, I might be surprised if it fits in a 48" drawer.
