This is a surprisingly good antenna

I have been using the Sangean antenna for many years but decided to give the XH-Data a try. I am very surprised to say that this is a really good antenna. My reception quality has improved. I highly recommend this antenna.

Excellent shortwave extension

Good shortwave antenna extension. I use a portable receiver with a telescopic antenna and this product just plugs into that existing antenna. My shortwave hearing is best outdoors, although indoors it improves when fully stretched. Indoors or outdoors, you need to move around and choose the best location for the best reception.

Coil antenna worse than ever

I've had several of these coil antennas over the years...they work very well on small portable devices...I've had Kaito and Sangean and they all worked with no problems. This XHDATA reel antenna gets stuck extending and retracting...every time...you have to take it apart to get the wire out...spend a few bucks more and buy another brand.

Sorry if I'm not clear

The seller was concerned that I was not satisfied with this item. While I was clear, let me repeat my opinion: I got exactly what I wanted in this product! I already had two of these antennas. All I was missing was a micro jack antenna clip. Buying another antenna was the only way to get it. 100% satisfied!

This antenna should be an essential part of every shortwave listener's equipment.

This antenna should be an essential part of any shortwave listening set. This is good value for money. Well made and it gives you a lot of bang for your buck. It's cut to the correct length (7m/23ft) and they've been thought through to include both a right angle plug and a whip clip with one of these antennas. , listen to more stations and hear them better than with the standard antennas that came with your radio.

Doesn't work miracles

You can also see my review of the TecSun PL-330 radio on Revain. I highly recommend this inexpensive shortwave outdoor antenna. However, as the name suggests, it doesn't work wonders in an Electrically Noisy (RFI) environment like my house/neighborhood. This will help/prevent you from picking up all that noise as well as the signal you're hoping to get. Their success depends on the ionosphere and local electrical interference. I haven't tested it in the park or remote areas yet, but I bet it…

Works great! It contributed a lot to the station's attenuation or just the signal got a lot better. Easy to use indoors or outdoors. Reasonable price. Absolutely 100% recommended for people without external antennas for indoor use or when going hiking or camping. Just take it with you from room to room. Very easy.
