Thick and Strong

I went insane converting my van into a van. I've used used brands and found that there is a big difference in adhesion, shrinkage and thickness. This product can shrink to more than 3:1 and is nice and thick. I don't have to waste product by double layering, but it's enough to stay flexible. My favorite so far and recommended for price, quality, adhesion, ease of use and durability.

difficult conditions. Thicker than expected

I recently bought some new battery cables. Both positive and negative were colored black. I used some of that heat shrink tubing to paint one end of the positive wire red. It easily takes the shape of a maniac with a nice snug fit. After that I was able to use a utility knife to cut holes for the studs. Overall, the heat shrink tubing was thicker than I expected. Not only suitable for sheathing wires. The only downside is that it's inconvenient to store when folded. The hose is glued where…

Pros
  • Heat shrink tubing
Cons
  • Doesn't work

I used to use heat shrink tubing with glue so I have something to compare. In this case I used pipe to reinforce the wooden handles for the wooden clamps. Here are my impressions of using heat shrink tubing. My use: I use pliers on the wooden handles of wood clamps for extra torque when tightening. The wooden handles begin to chew and eventually just fall apart. I used heat shrink tubing to reinforce and protect the wooden handles from pliers. -- THIN ADHESIVE: Other professional grade heat…
