WORKS WITH ICOM 705

I have 125B, I built a PTT cable to connect ICOM 705 to 125B. Works perfectly. 1 watt of 705 gives about 110 watts of 125b. No autoranging. But just click the button to change the groups. KQ4KK

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Problems with the first amp - Radioddity support was great

amp works great. However, the first one I got had hardware issues. Radioddity helped me debug and when we determined it was a hardware issue they promptly sent me a replacement. I am satisfied with both the product and the service.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Amplifier works great. However, the first one I got had hardware issues. Radioddity helped me debug and when we determined it was a hardware issue they promptly sent me a replacement. I am satisfied with both the product and the service.

Pros
  • CB and radio equipment
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

I bought the XPA125B direct from HRO a few months ago due to shipping issues. I'm mainly interested in using it for 10m portable/battery use, so it goes well with my G90 and the (required) CE-19 interface. A few observations on setting up a 10m magloop; A 1W AM carrier produced about 70W. AM carriers from 2 to 5 watts produced about 85 watts, the XPA125B's amp reading was 11 amps. I suspect the SSB power will be much higher, I don't have a reliable way to measure PEP so I'll leave it at that…

Pros
  • Portable Audio & Video
Cons
  • New Competitors
