I use it to prep and maintain my humidor in coordination with humidifier packs. Worked great. One wipe down and it was ready to go.

Great stuff. Works just exactly as it should and SO much better than just distilled water. When I bought this, the Xikar was a clam or 2 cheaper than all the other brands, though chemically they are all (supposed to be) exactly the same, so (theoretically) one brand shouldn't work any better than any other.It's really hard to mess up mixing 50% Propylene Glycol with 50% Distilled Water. Constant 70%, you can't ask for more than that. Don't listen to all the negative hype; most of the people losing humidity haven't ever seasoned their humidor.Season yours properly and use this, and you'll have great cigars for as long as you keep them in your humidor.

This bottle is actually bigger than I thought. Since you really only need to use some drops in the humidor disk, it will last a really long time. The solution works great and I really only need to refill twice per month and the humidity level stays pretty close to the recommended number. This also depends on the size of the humidor and cigar count as well as the quality. For me, this solution works great.

The great debate has been whether or not to use plain distilled water, or a PG mix such as this. I utilized distilled water for years, that is, until mold developed in my humidifier. I reverted back to the trusty Xikar solution, as it has the anti-fungal agent to combat the potential problems that you face when only using distilled water. It works, and I don't question it. item is OK, will stick to distilled water for humidor treatment, I have several humidors and have always used distilled water to treat them then keep humidity with Heartfelt beads and this didn't seem to work any better/different then the water conditioning, not bad just don't see the need to spend more then a buck & an half for a gallon of distilled water

I use this to charge/recharge my crystal humidifiers for my humidors. Great product, better than distilled water, and super easy to use. Highly recommended.

My humidor is down to 67% and dropping. It may be the Xikar humidifier itself. The Xikar combo of solution and humidifier does not work.User error. I expected the RH to remain in the 70-75% range where my Savoy humidifier kept it. After discussions with Xikar support I learned that the Xikar 50 will keep RH above 62% and under 70%, the preferred range. After 3 weeks of use the RH has remained in the 63-68% range.

It does what it is supposed to. I haven't used it long enough to verify how well it will inhibit the growth of fungus in my humidor. I suppose that will have more to do how I handle the cigars and the method I use to humidify my humidor.

I have about 120 cigars in my humidor. I've had it happen.cigars got too moist and grew spores. This product got my Humidor into the Optimal range on the hygrometer. A hygrometer is an instrument used for measuring the moisture content in the atmosphere. In my humidor, I couldn't get my moisture level up till I used this product. Now I'm optimized, in the perfect range. It has not gone over. I am using this product with a "Mr. Moisture". I had not Seasoned the humidor prior to using this product and this worked in 24 hours.

I've been using this stuff for years and have never had a problem with it: no over or under humidification, a constant 70% RH, no mold or mildew, no stink, works for weeks in the Xikar crystals medium. Other pre-mixed products have led to at least one or more of these problems and don't last as long. I highly recommended this solution.

I have a small, yet great humidor that I bought $40. As I was waiting a couple minutes for the filter sponge to absorb the solution, I lightly lathered the box with the solution as well. Almost immediately my box went from 55 to 70. Great product!

Wanted to try this instead of distilled water just to see the difference if any. It is very easy to use and has kept my humidor at 70% for weeks at a time. Ill continue to use it as it makes no sense to ruin a bunch of cigars over a few bucks.
