Excellent value for money

Good value, low cost, small angle filter for 20-40 gallon tanks. I bought a half dozen for my 20 gallon ornamental shrimp tank. They are ideal for this type of biofiltration. I will buy again.

Pros
  • Heavy duty design
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

10/10 per filter

Yes! This is a filter. filter filters. Just don't screw it up like I did and don't forget to read the measurements. I thought I would buy a smaller foam filter for my Betta aquarium but ended up with a very large sponge filter which I later used in a larger tank.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

The Least Known Filter Mechanism That Really Works

The sponge filter is so simple the water it collects harbors beneficial bacteria, catches almost all residue, is so easy to maintain and so inexpensive. Some of my tanks have used them alone or in combination with a hob filter. Just squeeze the water out of the old tank every few months.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • New Competitors Arrive

Sponge filter does the job well

I bought this product for my young fry of angelfish that I am currently caring for. It didn't kill my fry and produces good sized bubbles for a 10 gallon tank. I recommend if you use it for the reason I bought it or if you just want to use a sponge filter on a smaller tank in general. The sponge itself is a pretty decent size, so keep that in mind!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Available in white only

Large Sponge Filter

They are great for breeding/hospital aquariums or any size aquarium depending on the needs of your fish. I have this filter as the only filter in 2 of my grow tanks and I use one as an extra filter in my 55, the water quality stays great. If you're looking for something small that's easy to hide, this is NOT your filter, otherwise this (or several of them) should suit your needs (and more importantly, the needs of your fish).

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Protection

Great sponge filters, best value

These sponge filters are some of the best I've had. They are a good size, not tiny but not too large to be difficult to house in an aquarium. It can be easily disassembled and adapted to the Air Stone. The sponge itself is a perfect medium density (less flimsy than others I've had, but that's a good thing because they don't clog up less often and require less cleaning). The best part is you get 3 of these for the price you would pay for 1 of the same quality elsewhere. 5 Stars!

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
