If you have a European car and are planning to replace the factory unit with a non-original unit, you need this antenna adapter. It powers the antenna so you don't lose the range you would have if it weren't hardwired to the system.

This fitted perfectly and worked as well as other brands for about half the price. This simplifies installation by converting the antenna to a standard plug allowing you to use an aftermarket radio. I put in a Kenwood that changes colors and even matches the dash. The radio reception is excellent.

Good item. In my application the metal part was a little long which made filling in tight spaces (VW New Beetle) a bit difficult but I was able to feed it behind the dash. The length of the cord was good and gave me the extension I needed to hide it under the dash. Overall, the amplification is excellent.

Did exactly what it was supposed to do. I converted the factory antenna to the standard antenna without any problems. I wish the wire wasn't so long. The resonator already has a ton of wires, and adding those just makes it disorganized. It would be easy to just omit the wire and connect the two ends together, reducing manufacturing costs and resulting in a more compact solution.

Product arrived on time. No instructions. You guessed it, the blue wire goes to 12V ACC. Built-in radio. I turned on the radio but couldn't find any stations. I removed the radio from the dash, opened the adapter tube and found poor soldering on both coaxial contacts causing one to move away. I cut and stripped and re-soldered the coax cable. Now it works fine. It's hard to believe someone in QC with eyeballs went through that. I would return it but I was dying to finish the install.
