Like all Xytronics soldering irons I own this is a great soldering iron, heats up quickly and uses standard Hakko tips, temperature control is in Celsius and Fahrenheit so it has no problems . I need to find out what the hell 100C is. It's easy to program and has a ceramic heater so replacements are easy to find, darn good buy.

Bought to replace Xytronics 379C which finally gave up after 14 years of reliable service. I had a few tips for the 379C, so I was happy that this unit can use all of the tips. The digital display is a nice upgrade and controls temperatures just as well, if not better, than the 379C. I've been testing it myself for the last 4 days 8 hours a day and so far so good.
