🔧 YaeTek Mig Gun Holder: Magnetic Base for Convenient Welding Torch Support Review

Looks neatly assembled but it arrived scratched and there was no nut to screw in the bolt. The packaging didn't look opened or damaged so they just didn't put a nut in it. It only has 4 pieces. It shouldn't be that hard to make sure everything is in place.

In some reviews, users noted that the base magnet had a tendency to loosen. In fact, it is only held by magnetism. So I went ahead and attached it with a JB weld. And now it's a great gun holder for the money. Sturdy construction and good shape to hold my piece.

The product works well. Solid for the price. The only thing that docked it with a star, the magnet didn't stick to the base. I dropped it off my wooden desk while tightening a nut/bolt and the magnet popped out and broke as soon as it hit the ground. It still works great. I just need to add some epoxy.

Just opened the box and found the item was unassembled. Collecting is not a problem. The fact is that the metal parts are not individually wrapped. The blue painted part is badly scratched and looks like it has been used for decades. Haven't tried using it for its intended purpose yet as I may repaint or powder coat first.

Works very well, my only complaint was the magnet didn't stick to the mount. I pick it up off my welding table and the magnet stays on the table which is a little frustrating. My solution was to glue it to the holder. I literally filled the outer and inner rings with some good hot glue and now it works like a charm. I usually keep my holder far enough away from what I'm welding that I don't have to worry about melting the hot glue. This worked like magic and makes it a lot easier to mount the…

It came disassembled in a package in a shipping carton so the beautiful blue paint has chipped and scratched, looks awful straight out of the box so I painted it with a glass rattle to hide the scuffs and scratches. The magnet is held in the steel base only by its magnetic force, so the first time you dropped the MIG torch holder onto the floor, the magnet fell out and broke in half.
