Very nice compared to the original Yahtzee

lover of Yahtzee and played it all the time as a kid. My kids love this game I bought for them and it's easy for kids around 3 and 4 who don't know their numbers very well, the symbols are perfect to pick up on their interests while playing.

Pros
  • High score for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Make sure you have a blue pen.

My only complaint is that the scorecard is very difficult to read. The park's symbol is on a gray background, which makes it impossible to read if you write in pencil. I used a photocopier and enlarged the scorecard to make it easier to use. Also, the mug doesn't have a felt lining, so it's noisy.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Long delivery time

The best version of Yahtzee

This is the best version of Yahtzee. I travel/camp all the time and this game has been part of many many adventures! I actually wore out one set from playing so much and had to buy another. Beautiful color-coded national park symbols and a handy travel bag make this set a win-win.

Pros
  • Sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Repair

Nice and compact and safe for travel

Same old game we've all played in the past. Dice uses symbols instead of standard points, but otherwise you know how it works. Nice and compact, and it will certainly travel well. My sister and her husband spend a lot of time on trails and at national park camps and they loved getting this as a gift.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Questionable buy for seniors

Great for national park lovers!

I love national parks and wanted to add our little camper to our travel games. A great portable game. Dice, scorecards and a pencil fit perfectly in a travel case. The only downside is how small the scorecard imprint is. He's pretty small. Luckily I was able to enlarge the map on the copier to make the game much more enjoyable.

  • Best
Cons

New version of an old favorite

I love the Yahtzee and the National Parks Foundation edition is a great concept. I know it's travel size, but the sheet music is ridiculously small for this grandmother's eyes, so I asked my daughter to enlarge it. Also, they are double sided. I also didn't like the national park logo which overlaps some of the logs. I found it distracting, but it's a keeper nonetheless!

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Some small touches

Good idea but so hard to read!

We love yachties and we love national parks. It's a great game, but this particular version isn't the best. The dice are difficult to read as you have to convert the number of animal dice for each round. We had a house fire and bought this to replace the LL Bean version we had. It was a bit disappointing that it takes so long to figure out which item value goes with which symbol.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • The list goes on.

Fantastic family fun

As kids we had a regular Yahtzee. When I was looking for a way to get us through quarantine with my two kids, I looked at old-school games that can also help with learning. This game fits the bill. Great for my six year old who is just learning math skills (symbols help her decide what to keep and what to throw away) and my third grader who is reinforcing quick math facts (by adding her scores). My only complaint is that the scorecard is printed very small and my old eyes had trouble seeing the

Great theme for a classic game, Unhappy mess in a cup

Cute version with fun natural elements. We are big tourists so we really liked the theme. It's nice that the whole game fits in the cup that comes with the kit. The only issue we had was that when using a dice cup it leaves a black stain on it which is frustrating and very difficult to wash off. Some of them stick, which makes us wonder how safe it is to handle them on a regular basis. I don't know what stained the bones (a black powdery substance) but we only played them once before they…

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok
