Computer speakers Yamaha

Excellent sound from small speakers. Replaced my old Altec Lansing kit with a subwoofer. I tried the Bose speakers but they were pretty muffled with excessive bass. They have brighter mids and really nice bass. Perfect for my desktop computer. The build quality is really good, with metal bars and a very solid feel. Sleep when the computer is off and boot up with no hiccups or lags. The headphone jack on the front is very convenient. Great sounding speakers at a reasonable price.

Yamaha sounds great

My old computer speakers are dead. I love my 10 year old Yamaha soundbar for my TV so much that I decided to order these speakers, especially after reading the reviews. Great speakers! I check voicemail, call Zoom or Skype, watch the trailer on Youtube and listen to music on Youtube. The sound is clear, loud, stereo and with a base. I like the standby mode so it turns itself off when not in use. I like the volume and power button on the front of the right speaker. I like that it has a real…

Good sound without subwoofer

Although I'm not a music lover, I've found that I have a much better ear than most of my friends. Maybe an audiophile? Take that into account in my review. My old Logitech speakers broke and since I live in an apartment where people live below me, I finally wanted to ditch the subwoofer system and still have good sound. This is exactly what I was looking for. They can get way louder than I should ever use in an apartment. They sound great at the levels I use them at. I'm not sure how good they…

Ideal for low to medium volumes.

I bought these to downsize my Logitech Z-5500. I knew anything else would be a compromise and all the reviews here comparing this Yamaha NX-50 to the Bose Companion II have been extremely helpful. Volume. This works perfectly for me, I prefer to use headphones for gaming and just wanted small speakers for music when I'm working during the day. I personally heard the Bose Companion speakers many years ago and while they sound good, I can hear "Bose Magic". They emphasize certain frequencies that

Full but too distorted compared to Bose Companion 2

Full, loud, rich but distorted and noisy. which made me switch back and forth. These Yamahas were much louder and fuller at any volume. But in the end the distorted, static sound of them drove me crazy and I had to give them back. Note that I don't listen to them at very high volume, I'd noticed it at any volume. I mean, the Yamaha is "fuller" than the Bose, so I felt like I could hear everything in a punchy, full sound. , a Yamaha baffle (including noise insulation). I think Bose can roll off…

For the price they are amazing

My Bose speakers have failed in less than 5 years. Very disappointed. For $249 I expect them to last at least 10 years or more. I couldn't bring myself to shell out another $250 for Bose speakers even though I liked their excellent quality. Based on the Revain's reviews, I decided to try the $99 Yamaha speakers. Got them today. First impression outstanding. Midtones can be better than Bose. The bass might not be as crisp as a Bose, but then again, when I was listening to hip-hop dance music, my

In love with clear sound quality!

I am very grateful to the other Revain reviewers who gave these speakers great reviews. I was considering the Bose Companion II series as I live in an upstairs apartment and don't need a subwoofer. Another reviewer (Ark L.) compared these Yamaha speakers to the Bose Companion II and recommended them instead. I have a Bose Soundlink II, which is what prompted me to even consider the Bose Companion II. I used to have a lot less space and used Bose whenever I was at my computer at my apartment or…

Decent performance at this price, easily beats Bose and Logitech

For about a hundred bucks, these speakers will absolutely smash like speakers from Bose and Logitech. While Yamaha aren't as popular when it comes to computer speakers, they are familiar with speakers in general and it's clear the engineering and design haven't sacrificed. Sound is very subjective, so I won't go into detail. in detail here. All I can say is that despite a small diaphragm in each cabinet (the top part is actually just for porting), the sound is quite detailed and doesn't suffer…
