Yamalube 10W-40 Oil Change Kit - Perfect Fit for Yamaha V-Star Deluxe XVS1300 2013-2017 Review

I have a VStar Deluxe 20151300 - same engine as Strykey - and this kit didn't fill the tank with enough oil. The red oil lamp went on. After reading the service manual, I found that just over 300ml was not enough.

Fits almost all Yamaha machines including my 700fi Grizzly. I took a picture of the back of the box to show what is written on it. The filter finder will beat and comes with a new oil plug washer. 3 liters more than my car uses, but I can save for the next exchange.

This product's title says it fits V-Star - V-Star requires 3.59 liters and this one only has 3 litres. I was surprised at the dealer and had to buy more oil. The oil filter is also suitable for changing. There is no V star on the back of the packaging. This box is mainly for ATVs. The title is misleading.

Great thing! Oil and filter is fine if you are looking for YXZ sxs, the book is 2.85 I guess but it actually takes a little over 3 with one filter change. I use this kit and bought a separate gallon to make changes . Buy a set of copper washers from Port Freight or Amazon. This kit comes with one pair, but not one for each individual application.

Bought for my Yamaha Rhino 660 Everything I needed was included. I didn't give 5 stars because there were no instructions as to what the 3 pucks were for. I figured the only thing I needed was a drain pipe crush washer since the other two didn't fit into anything I dealt with during an oil change. I assumed the kit only contained sets of washers for different engines.

I wish I had done some research before ordering. As I said, the oil was only 3 liters. My 2013 V-Star uses almost 4 liters of oil so it was a waste of time. Luckily I had some oil after my last oil change. After that I didn't trust the filter enough to use it as the oil amount was wrong so I chose an oil filter from my local motorcycle shop. I would not recommend this for a V-Star as advertised. Looks like the kit was rebadged from another vehicle to be delivered out the door. Look elsewhere!
