I got rid of my automatic (rake) litter box and replaced it with this model (4" deep). much better, even if I have to pay more attention to it than the automatic, it is definitely much cleaner and very easy to maintain.

I can't believe I'm writing a review for a litter box but this item deserves one. Great litter box, cats love it, easy to clean and no smell. That's the best part. Plastic boxes absorb odors and will always smell, no matter how often you clean them. Cats and we don't like that smell and are very clean animals. This thing is a game changer, grab it and ditch your plastic box.

Low enough for senior cats. Good size for large 20 lb cats. I use cat litter with grass seed and nothing sticks to the stainless steel cat litter. The odor is not absorbed by the shell like with plastic. My house has never smelled so clean and cat-free! Like a dream. By far the best litter box installed after over 30 years of cat ownership.

I have a kitten that has never been able to jump and is older now. When she was younger it was okay to have a regular crate because she could easily bend over if she needed to get in. But now that she's older, she needs a bottom edge so she can step over it. I prefer these metal boxes because the smell doesn't soak into the metal after a few months like plastic boxes.

I know this is supposed to be a liter crate but the Nile monitor made a small crack in his aquarium so he doesn't keep the water on the bottom but so he needs this to get into the bottom of the tank and hold the water. Its stainless steel to protect it from rust is larger so it fits snugly and fits perfectly in the lizard tank. Now he can sit and lie in his water and drink it and be happy.

I had trouble finding stainless steel litter boxes at pet stores near me so I had to include regular litter boxes and litter boxes when I found them here. Other online reviews vouch for this brand and a price comparison seems to be a good measure of pride - the pans arrived on time and there were no dents or scratches or anything when opened. They feel heavy and the size looks right for a healthy cat going about its business. Can't wait to give her to the shelter - 10/10

So theoretically a great tray; We only like stainless steel. For our Siberian cat we have a large version that is just right for her. I figured we could use a smaller one because we've switched to a litter box that requires a smaller litter box (weird), but this one is way too small. and short; I can't imagine it being used for anything other than a very young kitten and even then it would only be useful for a few months.
