🖌️ Yasutomo Liquid Sumi Ink, 2oz, Black: Top-quality artist ink for calligraphy and painting Review

A wonderful ink that finally, FINALLY allowed me to have some success with my little suminagashi steps. Budget friendly, really good quality.

This is an excellent ink, it fits paper perfectly, does not spread and is a beautiful black color. I did notice the smell though, even with the window open and the fan on.

New copper plate student using this with Zebra G-tips I don't have any other experience to compare but it works fine. The consistency seems right, with no unpleasant smell (generally a very slight smell). Good value too.

What can not be said about the quality, excellent material for sketching or drawing with a pen. It is not waterproof but can be resistant to alcohol markers. It smells like shellac, similar to Winsor Newton's non-waterproof ink, which is 100% fast drying and pen-proof. Also, I just want to share some interesting insights. liquid in it, and actually took out the tape measures and did some calculations. It turned out to be exactly 1.99 ounces '😅 good to know'

I wanted the ink to be very dark and smooth and it really fits. I used it on hot pressed watercolor paper and it was perfect. In my opinion this is the blackest black you can get. I've experimented with adding some water and this seems to work really well if you want to soften the black a bit. Excellent stuff. When I run out I will definitely buy this mascara again.

This is a beautiful black ink. I've just started using pen and ink before applying watercolors but even after letting it dry for eighteen (18!) hours I still get streaks even if I apply a little water to smooth the watercolor pencil and to mix. . I wouldn't even try a heavy water application. I can still use it on items I don't want to water, but the quest for truly waterproof inks continues. If you don't care, it seems to flow well and look good.

I bought this ink from a friend when I wanted to learn calligraphy. Having no experience with any ink other than this one, I can't say if it's better or worse than the other. I can only say that the mascara is great. I made a few mistakes, touched the ink without knowing it, and everything was black. Washable with soap and water! Easy cleaning. It leaves a great 3D feel on paper, and at 2 ounces it doesn't even look like I've dented it after many hours of use. I will continue to buy this ink as
