A good inexpensive option for beginners

I wish I had chosen a finer tip for the tutorial I got for my kids, but the other options were a lot more expensive. If we're going to stick with it we'd invest in something higher, but this is a good place to start if you need lots of pens for a low price.

. use to soften the tip to write better but I've only just started practicing.

In order to write better, you need to soften the tip a few times, but since I just started practicing calligraphy, I think this is normal. I feel like I'm going to run out of ink quickly, but like I said I'm new to using these types of markers so that might be normal too.

I just learned this

If you're just starting out, this is the perfect pen for learning calligraphy (I know I've spent the last few weeks on this). Just master this and your work with a smaller pen will be amazing. If you're already into calligraphy, I hope you already have a more informed opinion than I do, but I see that experts and novices can have conflicting desires.
