COULD be a great product

Luckily Revain got my money back. I teach chemistry and use a 2 pack system when running an ice lab. One pouch contains the ice cream mix and the other pouch contains the ice cream mix. I use duct tape on each package to seal them. But every year someone gets salted ice cream. I thought this product would be awesome. Bought 3. You say roll or throw. My kids tossed it back and forth. It is quite heavy and occasionally falls to the ground. After 10 minutes and a few drops on the floor theyโ€ฆ

He makes ice cream with ice cream scoops

It's fun. My kids had a lot of fun making ice cream with it. My son got it for his birthday. The only downside I found is that I had to tighten the lids very tightly to keep it from leaking and then it took my man and almost the goddess to open the stupid thing back up. Even with intermittent tightening, you still need to tighten the end of the ice cream as the cold will cause it to leak. If that was the only downside I'd give it three stars, but the second downside is that it takes the ice out

Pros
  • Just add cream, sugar and flavorings to one end and ice and rock salt to the other end. Play roles for 20-30 minutes and serve
Cons
  • Nothing

Works with coconut milk but takes much less time

SHORT VERSION This is a review for those trying vegan hacks. Coconut milk works (I bought Good & Gather organic coconut milk from Target and it's more like delicious cream than milk), but it only takes 8-10 minutes depending on how you roll or kick it. Remember to open the side of the ice cream halfway and use a sturdy spatula or flat wooden spoon with a wedge to scrape down the sides and blend the frozen sides into the more liquid center. Otherwise you will end up with hard coconut ice creamโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Built-in easy-open handles with wide openings for adding ingredients and removing ice cream
Cons
  • Durable
