I have devices that I use at night that need to be charged every now and then, but not every night. I bought a USB to mini USB cable with a power adapter to charge devices that require a mini USB cable. I then plug in this adapter for devices that require a micro USB port. With this little 1 foot adapter I have one less cable to connect to the wall. For me a convenient and elegant solution.

I bought this because the new DVR I got for my car connects to micro USB while my old DVR connects to mini USB. I didn't want to take the existing wiring out of the car so this was a cheap and easy solution. The only thing I complain about is the size of the plastic snaps around the ports. On the male end in particular, the connector is much larger and has a different shape than shown in the product image.

I'm a bit of a keyboard fanatic and have several keyboards that I like to switch between. They each have detachable cables, but not all use the same connector. I bought this to have a mini USB cable from the back of my computer and then I just use this adapter to use my micro USB cards. I haven't had any issues so far, even with the amount of abuse and flex I give this thing by plugging it into my keyboard's cable channels. Even if it breaks, I would happily buy another one.

Had some Microdad cables from a previous USB generation. Cables with micro connectors are good cables, but useless for charging new phones and devices. I ordered these adapters, they came quickly and were well packaged. Cable adapters are ideal for reusing micro cables. I have a case around my phone which often makes some cables unsuitable as the area in front of the mini plug is too thick. These cables are thicker than most mini-USB cables, but the connector and surrounding plastic housing are

Convert odb2 dash cam power cable from mini USB to micro USB. So far it always works when I start the car. The price is the same as for adapters. This is better as the adapter version may be too high and touch the windshield. You are not flexible.
