Works as advertised

I have a small one car garage for work and the strip works great. The cord is long enough to attach to my work table and all my power tools plug into it. No more extension cords on the floor and no more connect/disconnect tools.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Nice long cord, very strong

This is a very strong and well built extension cord. A metal case will certainly hold up better than other cheap plastic case extension cords. I also like the long cord that allows you to guide and fold the strip where you need it most.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Broken after 60 days!

The built in surge protector trips before the breaker on my panel trips, so who knows what its rating is - obviously lower than the breaker. So it actually became a lightweight extension cord. Then, after 60 days of using the light, the power switch failed, rendering it unusable.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Plastic base with metal cover

Looks solid but feels a bit cheap. The bottom is actually plastic. The other heavy duty metal extensions I have are all metal so I'm deducting a star for that. It is inexpensive compared to other metal extensions so you get what you pay for. I use it to control a small band saw and a drill press. Let's see how it will be in the long run.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Low maintenance

Weak fastening solution.

Has served well for a few years. and a very long power cord. but power sockets are weak. and very awkward to mount on a wall or rack. There is no mounting template and you do not have access to the screw holes on the back of the device. You have to guess where the screws should be and then slide the device over the screw to fasten it firmly. Even if done correctly, this is not a reliable solution for such a durable product. //CEG

Good product. I attached this in the center front.

Excellent product. I attached it to the center front frame (2" x 6") of my new workbench. It has a very long cord that allowed me to reach the outlet. The protector is built into my workbench because I added 3/4" plywood after installing the protector. The plywood sticks out 2" from the front of the workbench so the surge protector doesn't get in the way. Surge protectors are very useful when You make a mistake when drilling or cut incorrectly as the guard turns off the product Must have saved…

Pros
  • network filter
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

I appreciate quality and am willing to pay more for it. Yellow Jacket cables appear to be good products. This is why I have bought many yellow jacketed cables in the past. All of the Yellow Jacket extensions I've used have worked great. So when I needed some surge protectors and saw them, I decided to give them a try. I bought 2. One of the 2 broke on first use. The illuminated on/off button lights up, but the outlets are not receiving power. I might have thought this a coincidence if I hadn't…

Pros
  • Accessories and consumables
Cons
  • Some bugs

Looks good, but not just metal and poor construction

For a cheap 6-outlet power strip with 15 feet of 14AWG cord, it looks great at first glance. However, I have two significant issues with this extension and some parts were only available because I took it apart: 1) It's not metal. Okay, the top case is made of metal. Fair enough and it will help with longevity, they say. However, they advertise it as a "heavy metal structure". Product images only show it from the front or perspective. This means that the entire body is made of metal. What they…
