Great bit but check the set screw!

This mount worked great with one minor issue. There is a small bushing on the shaft that holds the bearing in place. This yoke has a very small set screw that holds it in place so it can be removed to replace the bearing if necessary. The tiny adjusting screw disappeared at some point the first time I used it. The drill still worked without the set screw but caused vibration when the drill was pushed to speed up the cut. As long as I moved slowly, everything worked perfectly. Overall the bit…

Pros
  • For use with desk mount and router
Cons
  • Some bugs

Poor quality control

Product cuts great and does what it's supposed to. But it also does something else. Look at picture 2 which shows a groove carved into the wood of my template. Tighten the set screw before use.

I use this tool to carve a recessed river in a patio table, fill it with a small river rock and then fill it with resin. The beat still cuts well. But after about 1/2 hour of use, the set screw that held the bearing in place (I read this happened in another review) came out. I was really lucky to find the set screw and put it back in to make sure it was tight this time. 2-3 hours of work on the project and the beat still cuts really well. So far cut 8 feet, about 5 inches wide and 3/8 inch…

Pros
  • Templates and flush templates for a variety of projects
Cons
  • So far so good
